Buonconvento sits low in the Val d’Arbia, between the clay hills of the Crete Senesi and the vineyards of Montalcino. Most people drive past it on the way to somewhere more famous. We got married here.
We chose it because it felt like the Tuscany we grew up with: brick walls, a main street you can cross in five minutes, people who still greet you from the doorway. No postcard, just a place that lives its own life.
“Not the most famous village. The one we’d choose again.”
Come for a slow afternoon. Walk the walls, take the road towards Montalcino at sunset, stop wherever the light tells you to.
